System Administrators

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated, experienced senior project manager to work in a team environment, applying the  principles to the design, development, and implementation of our system.

Reporting to the program manager, the candidate will this role will be responsible for
working with all levels of business management/users to identify projects, and overseeing multiple projects across the enterprise.This role will require extensive collaboration and coordination with the majority of Honda business lines and will require strong business analysis capabilities to help identify technology solutions to support business objectives.define, decompose, and analyze business and functional requirements of the system.  The individual will be the key liaison with business users and technical teams and be responsible for managing scope, design, development, testing and implementation as well as user documentation and training efforts

Required Qualifications:
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Identify and Manage projectr dependencies and critical path Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations Responsible for managing team members, consultants, vendors and provide oversight on Telematics projects

Experience (all required, unless indicated otherwise):
•             Bachelors degree.
•             10 years or more experience as a Project Manager on large, multi-team
projects dealing with multiple, complex process areas and business groups.
•             Experience in analyzing and designing systems that involve extensive
use of complex business rules.
•             2 years or more Automobile industry and/or Telematics experience.
Must possess solid experience  with scheduling  and budgeting of large scale projects
•             Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
of the organization, needs to be able to present to executives, facilitate meetings with multiple stakeholders and vendors, and translate business requirements in technical terms to the IT team.

•             Must have strong problem-solving skills and customer focus, needs to
be able to analyze, understand and create linkages between business challenges and IT solutions.

Implement a single regional ERP system supporting HM’s global Accounting initiative, replacing 4 PeopleSoft instances.  Project involves standardizing business processes, master data, etc. across Honda companies in NA.  Also involves data conversion from PeopleSoft, integration to/from legacy systems, etc.

For this position, Project Manager will be responsible for day to day project operations for a regional ERP implementation involving consolidation of individual, unique ERP instances in North America.

Project Manager candidate must have the following:

Expert in project management with at least ten years experience and a strong structured methodology background and approach to project implementations
Global project management experience involving multiple locations
ERP implementation experience
Strong leadership skills, able to manage a diverse team across multiple organizations
Able to lead business users and technical teams to workable solutions
Able to lead implementation partner(s)
Dynamic oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with both business and technical staff at all levels.

The following skills and/or experience are desirable:

CMMI Level 5 certification and/or PMP certification
ERP implementation for Accounting and/or Purchasing experience
ERP instance consolidation experience

Further enhance business processes, automate data collection capability and audit reporting using AHM’s asset repository (HP AssetCenter) to provide consistency, speed and repeatability.

This position is intended to provide full time project technical support for an Asset Center/Manager project, currently scheduled to end development in six months ( with possible extension for production support thereafter.)

The position will request:

minimum 3 years of experience in HP AssetManager and Connect-It development (wizards, views, workflows, and Software Asset Management module – SAM) including administration and configuration of AssetCenter (required).
minimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft SQLServer with stored-procedures.  (highly preferred)
client-server application experience (required)
experience must reflect project implementations of AssetCenter/Manager (required)
on-going production support and enhancement work (preferred).
AssetCenter/Manager or hardware/software asset management (ITAM) certifications a plus. (preferred)

Additional areas (preferred):

Midrange Client/Server experience of at least two years. Preferred.
ASP web development of at least two years.  Preferred.
HP Asset Center 9.3 experience (our current version.)  Preferred.
Optional: QuickTag; CG4;    IBM DB2/UDB, ASP, NT Services, Visual
Studio 6, Visual Studio .NET, Lotus Notes C++ API integration, C++, MFC, C#, Crystal Reports.  All of these are optional (not required.)
