We are seeking a highly-motivated, experienced senior business analyst to work in a team environment, applying the best business analysis principles to the design, development, and implementation of our system.

Reporting to the project manager, the candidate will define, decompose, and analyze business and functional requirements of the system.  The individual will be the key liaison with business users and technical teams and be responsible for translating business requirements into technical requirements and will also be responsible for testing activities, as well as supporting user documentation and training efforts.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

Business process definition, analysis and redesign.
Business and functional requirements gathering, documentation, design, and management using various techniques, including: requirement workshops, JAD Sessions, interviews, document analysis, visualization, and site visits.
Business analysis deliverables, including: business process / task / workflow descriptions, business process models, use cases, use case diagrams, scenarios, business rules, reports design, and user interface visualizations.
Be the liaison between business, technical, and other project teams.
Communication of business and functional requirements to technical and non-technical staff.
Validation of quantitative and qualitative business cases.
Organizing, tracing and tracking requirements, including changes, throughout the project.
Managing overall requirements issue resolution process.  Summarize and present issues for executive management.
Understanding and ensuring AHM templates, tools and methodology are utilized within the project.
Coordinating with user documentation and training groups.
Supporting users during rollout phase.
Overseeing the definition and writing of testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Coordinate and participate testing activities.  Analyze test progress, including defect metrics.
Estimating resource and work effort for project phases.
Some travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

Experience (all required, unless indicated otherwise):
Bachelors degree.
10 years or more experience as a Business Analyst on large, multi-team projects dealing with multiple, complex process areas and business groups.
Experience in analyzing and designing systems that involve extensive use of complex business rules.
2 years or more Automobile industry and/or Telematics experience.

Knowledge (all required, unless indicated otherwise):

In-depth experience in structuring and writing use cases.
Strong knowledge of process discovery and process decomposition.
Strong skills in facilitating joint application design sessions and driving consensus in teams.
Experience in business process modeling tools (Visio – required, IBM WebSphere Business Modeler or other – preferred)
Experience in business requirements management tools (IBM Rational RequisitePro or other)
Preferred – Experience in test management tools (Mercury Quality Center / Test Director)
Strong use of desktop application usage MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Understands basic concepts of technology (XML, SOA, applications)
Experience in project management, application development, and testing methodologies.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
