The primary responsibility of this position is to perform Basis, security and db administration of sales & logistics, and planning SAP systems for both production support and projects (e.g. potential SAP upgrade), to backup Basis team lead, to rotate in on-call support, and to perform QA. Close interaction with SAP application sub-teams and key business Subject Matter Experts will be required. Over 6 years of experience and proficient at the following are required: SAP Basis administration of R/3 4.6/4.7, APO 3.0A BW 3.0B on Unix-based OS and subsequent Netweaver versions Database management of DB2 UDB v8/v9 liveCache administration using SAPDB/MAXDB SAP SNP Optimizer administration SAP security user id and role administration Maintenance of SAP systems in a production support capacity – including transport management, client administration, performance analysis and tuning (including CIF), data archiving, kernel updates and support pack/enhancement pack updates, DB2 UDB backups and restores and reorgs, disk space management production system copy, on-call support, developer and business end-user support, system landscape management including failover and disaster recovery, hardware sizing, SAP Gui distribution Additional skills and experience are desirable: Installation and configuration of Solution Manager Upgrade experience on R/3/ECC, APO/SCM, and BW/BI Support and working knowledge of 3rd Party software such as MQ Series, ASG Zena, RWD, PBS, RightFax, and Remedy Participation in all phases of a project life-cycle
