The Portals and Collaboration team is looking for an experienced business/systems analyst for a social media/collaboration project at our client location in Torrance, CA. This individual must have knowledge in collaboration technologies and ideally experience in designing and implementing company-wide social media/collaboration/knowledge management solutions. Collaboration technologies include web conferencing, document sharing, social media, email/calendaring, team spaces, presence, blogs and wikis, etc.
The candidate in this position will have the responsibility as lead business analyst for the client’s social media/collaboration project, including coordination among north American subsidiary companies. The Portals and Collaboration team is looking for an expert who can hit the ground running and quickly take responsibility for a high visibility project. The individual will be expected to bring a depth of experience as well as the analytical, technical and organizational skills necessary to facilitate the identification, design and implementation of enterprise collaboration/ social media solutions. The individual must work well in a team environment and have a strong desire to see the team succeed. Flexibility and concensus building skills are essential, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in facilitating consensus on positions and decisions is also essential, as well as experience with Social Media tools like Facebook and Twitter in a corporate setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Lead requirements gathering and analysis for a collaboration/social media project - Provide expertise on the best collaboration solutions available today - Document business requirements and facilitate approval by management team - Lead and participate in business stakeholder meeting across North American time zones - Create presentations to executive management - Present results of requirements and business analysis - Maintain accurate project plans and meet milestones - Work within project budgets
Required Experience:
– 5+ years technical business analysis experience - 2+ years implementing large scale enterprise collaboration solutions, preferably global
Optional Experience:
– Project management experience - Hands on experience configuring collaboration technologies - Experience implementing collaboration solutions from different vendors (i.e., IBM, Microsoft, Cicso, best-of-breed vendors) - Experience with cloud services collaboration solutions
