Q. What are the benefits to outsourcing to NetServe?

There are many variables that affect this decision making process. What role does technology play in your company? How many computers do you have in your company? How “mission critical” is your system? What kind of growth, if any, do you anticipate? How complex are your company's needs?

For small and mid-sized business, or companies with less than 100 computer users, outsourcing 100% of your I.T. may be your best solution. The best way to explain this is by example. Let's take a fictitious company, ABC funding for example. ABC funding has 70 computers and 5 servers. According to Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine's latest “Salary Survey,” the average salary of a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer nationwide is $67,800. If they were to hire a full time, Microsoft Certified System Engineer in the LA Area, they would have to pay a bare minimum of $65,000/year plus all of the associated costs of having a full time employee. So, let's make an assumption of $75,000 after payroll taxes and light benefits. A computer network of this size, on average, would need about 8 hours per week of attention (assuming the system had initially been setup properly). A top-notch consulting firm would start at roughly $120/hour with an 8 hour per week contract. That's less than $50,000 per year, a savings of over $25,000 per year!

Q. In addition to cost savings, what do I get by outsourcing to NetServe?

In addition to the savings, when you hire NetServe you are getting experience that you don't get from a single person who has spent their time working in a homogenous environment, or one in which they do the same thing, day in, day out. NetServe’s consultants see many different companies and have a very good idea as to what works, and what doesn't. Also, as technology changes, NetServe’s engineers are more “cutting-edge” than a typical system administrator because they spend much of their time doing full-scale rollouts utilizing “cutting-edge” solutions at various customer sites.

Q. What are the advantages of being under the NETSecure Program as opposed to us just calling you when we need something?

When a client has us in an “on-call” status, and only calls us when they need us, it is typically because they have a problem. In most cases, a problem equals downtime, downtime equals business interruption and business interruption equals slimmer profits. Most companies today rely too heavily on their computer systems to not have them routinely maintained. Our goal is to minimize the problems that you may have, in turn minimizing your downtime and creating a more reliable and efficient computing environment. Furthermore, when a system has a problem, it may result in permanently lost data, meaning that the consequences may be crippling to your business. By having a company providing you with preemptive service and remote status monitoring, downtime and data loss is minimized.

Q. What if we estimate 6 hours monthly, and only use 4 of those hours?

When we initially estimate the monthly hours we feel necessary to maintain your system, we base that estimate on other companies of similar size, complexity, and demands. There will be times when we fall under budget and don’t use the hours allocated. These unused hours will be credited to your next invoice.

Q. What if we are estimate 6 hours monthly, and exceed that estimate by 2 hours?

There will be instances in which you may have additional work for us to perform which causes us to exceed our monthly budget. In these instances, you will simply be billed for the additional time spent on your next monthly invoice.

Q. What if I want to stop using the NetSecure Program? Am I tied to a contract term?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Participation in NetSecure is on a “month-to-month” basis. The plan is cancelable at anytime. Any hours that have been paid for, will be refunded to you immediately if you decide to discontinue our services.

Q: Do you sell hardware and software?
NetServe Systems does not deal with hardware. At the request of our client, we can acquire hardware. NetServe specializes in providing high quality services and software development. Our technology evaluation and purchasing assistance service, is one of the many convenience services that we provide our clients. Under NetServe Systems Purchase, we will evaluate your technology requirements and recommend solutions. We will also assist you in placing your order to purchase any of these solutions. NetServe Systems does not sell technology products.

We want our clients to have unbiased recommendations and advice from our technology experts. However, we have established national alliances with a wide range of technology vendors who offer NetServe Systems clients discounts on their products and services. If you choose to purchase directly from these vendors, your business will receive the NetServe Systems client discount.

Q: What computing platforms do you support?
We support all of the computing platforms used in small and mid-size business offices including: Windows 95, 98, 2000, Windows NT server/workstation, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Macintosh, Novell NetWare 4, 5, 6, UNIX, and Linux.

Q: Do you support and service the Mac platform?
Yes we do. We have a large and loyal group of Macintosh clients. NetServe Systems employs some of the best Macintosh expertise in the country. We also have many clients who have, what we call, "mixed environments." These are networks that have both Macintosh and Windows computers on them. NetServe Systems is the only national computer and network service and support company that services these "mixed environments."

Q: How much can I expect to pay for your services?
NetServe Systems services are very competitive. Our premier service, NetPlan is the most economical of our services. Under NetServe’s NetPlan, we perform regularly-scheduled monthly service on your network infrastructure.

Most NetServe Systems clients begin with a comprehensive Network Assessment to determine the reliability and stability of their computing environment. The results of the Network Assessment help determine how we can help you resolve the amount of ongoing monthly care your network requires.

Q: Do you provide programming services?
Programming is one of the NetServe Systems core services. Our highly experienced programmers can develop custom-built platform independent applications in programming language of your choice.

Q: What is your definition of small/mid-size business? Is my business too small? Is my business too large?
NetServe Systems focuses on businesses that have 10 to 500 computers per office or location.

IT services come down to efficiency, reliability and quality. Ask yourself: Does it make sense for my business to employ a full time in-house IT professional(s) or would it be more cost effective to outsource that service to an IT partner with a strong technical team of experts?

Are your technology needs great enough to warrant having full-time staff? Can your in-house staff stay knowledgeable on the wide range of technology used in your business today and needed tomorrow? Can your business attract and retain a high level technical professional who can
handle all of your computer and network support needs?

Most small/mid-size business offices do not need a full-time, in-house IT professional. However, they do need a wide range of technology expertise that no single in-house person or small staff is likely to be able to accommodate. For those companies, outsourcing care of the technology infrastructure to a skilled IT support partner like NetServe Systems is the right business choice. Contact us today to discuss your business technology support requirements.
